We are very excited to announce that H.O.P.E - USA have partnered with Girl Scouts of Central Maryland and will sponsor a minimum of 50 girls from low-income communities to participate, free of charge, in Girl Scout programming throughout the school year. This partnership not only covers all the costs for the girls registration, but also provides them with their first Girl Scouts sash; an official uniform piece for the patches they will earn.
The H.O.P.E. (Helping Orphans Prosper Everywhere) Foundation is a nonprofit organization founded in 2006 by Dr. Marlene Mahipat with the mission of expanding the well being of orphaned and displaced children both nationally and internationally.
Every year H.O.P.E. has reached out further to touch more lives because of the kind generosity of people like you. Please help us make 2012 our greatest year by making a contribution to H.O.P.E.
We believe in the old adage that states "it takes a village to raise a child". It is our long term goal to have a community center set up in every neighborhood in our area where children can go to spend time doing productive things. They would be able to have help with homework and school projects and have activities to do. We would also like to have our community centers be places where adults can go to learn skills to help them get better jobs and to receive counseling for their lives.
We want to build what we would call a "sharing center" where low income people can go to receive clothing or household goods. These would be free of charge to people who met certain income requirements.
Internationally we would like to have community centers and sharing centers set up in every country that we visit.
